# Alliance Perspectives

{% hint style="success" icon="check" %} :compass: This is where the PRRT2 Gene Alliance's own voice gets room to stretch.
{% endhint %}

Across the rest of the site, you'll find short green **🧭 PRRT2.org Perspective** callouts — brief asides where we step out of the plain reporting voice to offer our synthesis or lived experience. **Alliance Perspectives is where those asides become full essays:** deep dives into the issues we believe deserve real discussion, written from experience and conviction rather than consensus.

## What this is — and isn't

These are **authored, dated opinion pieces.** They are not established medical consensus, and they are not medical advice. Everything here is clearly our perspective, offered alongside the science — never as a substitute for your own clinician, and never as a reason to start, stop, or change a treatment on your own.

The reference sections of this site stay evergreen and carefully cited. These essays are different by design: they take positions. When we argue something here, we'll point you back to the established pages so you can see exactly where our perspective departs from settled science — and judge for yourself.

## Join the conversation

Each piece is meant to start a discussion, not end one. If something here resonates — or if you see it differently — that's the point. You can take it up with the community through [Links & Support](https://prrt2.org/resources/links-and-support) or add your own experience on [Patient Stories](https://prrt2.org/living/patient-stories).
